On your
Macintosh system, you will either have MacTCP or Open Transport installed.
These instructions are for MacTCP
Setting up MacTCP
- Run MacTCP from your Control Panels folder. Make
sure that PPP is the only icon highlighted. (Please ignore the value set
for the IP Address listed).
- Click on the More... button which should open a
new dialog box listing a range of settings.
- Click the radio button for Server so that PPP
obtains it's IP address from the server.
- In the IP Address section, select Class C from
the drop down list.
- In the Domain Name Server Information section,
enter the following information:
Domain:
visp.com.au
IP Address:
202.61.170.13
Default:
Yes
- Please ignore all other settings such as Gateway Address and Net.

Setting up FreePPP
To configure FreePPP, open the PPP Setup application.
Click on the Account tab, and enter the phone number, as well as your
username & password.
Connecting to the Internet
If all went well in the above steps, you should be able to click the Connect
button in FreePPP and connect to the Internet. |
